Join Us for the Really Really Free Market – A Community Event for Everyone!

At Haywood County Pride, we believe in the power of community and the importance of caring for one another. That’s why we are excited to invite you to our upcoming Really Really Free Market on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 5 PM to 8 PM at 225 Church Street, Waynesville, NC.

What is a Really Really Free Market?

A Really Really Free Market is a grassroots, community-driven event where everything is given and received for free—no money, trade, or expectations. It’s an opportunity for people to share resources, reduce waste, and uplift each other through mutual aid. Whether you need essentials or have extra items to share, this event is open to all.

What to Expect

At the event, while supplies last, you can find:

  • Hot meals
  • Winter coats, scarves, gloves, and warm clothing
  • Shoes, socks, and sleeping bags
  • Children’s toys, diapers, and wipes
  • Infant and child over-the-counter medication
  • Pantry staples and non-perishable food
  • Pots, pans, and kitchen essentials
  • Hygiene products like shampoo, soap, and menstrual products
  • Over-the-counter medications, Narcan, and Plan B
  • Free literature and zines

If you have items to give, we encourage you to bring them! Please ensure all donated items are clean and usable. Any unclaimed items at the end of the event should be taken home to minimize waste.

Why This Matters

The Really Really Free Market is more than just an event—it’s a movement towards collective care and community resilience. In a world where many struggle to meet basic needs, this gathering provides a space where everyone can access resources with dignity. By participating, you are contributing to a culture of generosity and support that strengthens our entire community.

How You Can Help

  • Spread the Word – Tell your friends, family, and neighbors about the event.
  • Bring Donations – If you have extra clothing, food, hygiene products, or household items, consider bringing them to share.
  • Volunteer – We could use extra hands to help with setup, distribution, and cleanup.
  • Show Up & Support – Whether you need something or just want to be part of a caring community, your presence makes a difference.

Haywood County Pride is committed to creating a more inclusive and equitable Haywood County where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Join us on March 20 and be part of something special.
